TRADED I am looking to trade my Aimpoint M4-S with Larue Tactical absolute co-witness quick detach mount and Killflash anti-reflection device. It was purchased new directly from Larue Tactical for $746. The only reason I’m getting rid of it is because I’m trying to lighten up my rifle a bit. The money I get from this optic will go directly to an Aimpoint Aimpoint T-1 . It is in like new condition with some VERY minor finish wear mainly on the brightness switch, and the lenses have only been cleaned with a Nikon lens pen. If you would like any detailed pictures, please feel free to ask. Includes original box and bikini lens covers with the Larue Tactical adjustment wrench and threaded Killflash anti-reflection device. Will ship to US to the US only. The only trade I will accept is an Aimpoint Aimpoint T-1 micro in a Larue Tactical absolute co-witness lever mount. “EMAIL USER” is the best way to reach me. TRADED Getting an aimpoint cause I’m tired of dead batteries in my EOTech. That decision is made. Question is, on the M4, do I want the battery compartment up high or down low? Opinions please…. briansmithwins

If you could warn your readers, I think it would be a great service to them. Perhaps ask David to do the same. The story is in the below email stream. The picture of my rife, scope mount and scope fitted and bore-sighted attached. As you can see, it has to go all the way up to the turret to get a decent eye relief. I read (here) that the Burris scope mounts are now made in China, this may/may not be true.
1/28/2003 12:49:23 PM As mr_wilson indicated, the problem is likely your mounting method. In addition to his points: The height over bore for the Aimpoint is significantly increased by mounting it to the top of your carry handle. While this shouldn’t necessarily affect group size, it will dramatically affect group placement. Add in a little “wiggle room” and larger “group” sizes aren’t out of the question. Mounting the Aimpoint to your flattop with a GG&G Cantilever mount or ARMS #22M68 w/ spacer will reduce the height over bore and probably tighten things up a bit. I would recommend the ARMS #39 A2 Plus, but I don’t think it will mount to your removeable carry handle. Texas-AR-Fan
